Everything in Its Own Time was created because of a simple, idealistic concept – it is possible for people that disagree to coexist at least somewhat peacefully.

There are many political group sites out there – many were created specifically for one side or another, many just ended swaying that way. While we can’t stop anyone from speaking their minds, we’re hoping that this site maintains some degree of balance – a little of everything.

That said, if you’re looking for a place to rant about everyone that doesn’t share your political or life views, you probably should look for a site full of people that agree with you.

On the other hand, if you’re willing to be open-minded, are looking for a place to express your views with the understanding that not everyone in the community will agree with you,  and are willing to accept that you might learn something here from someone that has different views, this might be the right place for you.

What kind of content can end up in blogs here?

While this is primarily a political site, not everyone is a complete political junkie. We’re open to people looking for a place to write about just about anything. Please don’t join us if you want to post pornographic, illegal, racist, sexist, or otherwise hateful material. It’s not worth your time, since your account would be purged as soon as anyone realizes that’s what you’re doing. Everyone gets to see the full list of prohibited content before they start posting here.

Other than getting a free blog, what’s in it for me?

Administration here loves promoting this site. If you’re looking for another place to have your name appear on the search engine results, by all means join us.

New is great. You aren’t just a number. The site isn’t set in stone. Within reason, if you want something added, if there’s a way to do it without upsetting the whole apple cart, it will probably be done. (It’s a community, so adding some new bells and whistles on the site might end up being left to the members to decide. That’s not to say that it’s an absolute democracy around here.)
